When Talk Therapy Has Not Reached the Part That Hurts
Brainspotting may be worth exploring if you
Have tried traditional talk therapy but still feel triggered by familiar patterns
Understand your experiences intellectually but continue to have strong emotional or physical reactions
Experience tension, shutdown, anxiety, hypervigilance, or emotional flooding
Have felt misunderstood by therapists who did not understand trauma or neurodivergence
Need a therapy space where you do not have to mask or perform
A Brief Look at Brainspotting
Brainspotting uses visual focus, body awareness, and focused attention while you process distressing experiences. It may be useful for people who find that insight alone has not changed their emotional or physical responses.

A Neurodivergent-Affirming
Trauma Therapist
Hi, I am Raven Ransom, LCMHC (NC), LPC (SC, PA).
As a neurodivergent therapist, I know how painful it can be to feel misunderstood in therapeutic spaces. My practice is built for adults who are tired of being pathologized, dismissed, or asked to explain themselves in ways that do not match how they process and communicate.
My approach is trauma-informed, identity-affirming, and direct. I will explain what we are doing and why. There is no pressure to perform healing or communicate in a neurotypical way to be understood.
Specialty areas include
Brainspotting
CPTSD and complex trauma
Attachment wounds
Neurodivergent-affirming care
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy
BIPOC mental health
Emotional regulation and coping support
Emotional overwhelm and shutdown
