Trauma Therapy That
Works With Your Brain
Not Against It
Individual Brainspotting Therapy
Transform Trauma Into Resilience
Finally heal trauma that talk therapy couldn't touch
Brainspotting is a powerful therapy that uses your visual field to access and process trauma stored in your nervous system. Instead of just talking about your trauma, we'll help your brain and body actually release it.
What Is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a brain-based therapy that identifies and processes sources of emotional and physical pain. By locating specific eye positions, we can access the deeper parts of your brain where trauma is stored—parts that traditional talk therapy often can't reach.
Think of it as working with your brain's natural GPS system. Where you look affects how you feel. By finding the right "brainspot," we can help your nervous system process and release traumatic experiences that have been stuck.

Brainspotting Intensives
For Clients Seeking Deeper Healing in a Shorter Timeframe
Sometimes healing needs more focused time and attention.
Brainspotting Intensives offer extended sessions designed for deeper trauma processing, allowing your nervous system the space it needs to fully work through difficult experiences.
What Makes Intensives Different?
Intensives provide concentrated healing work that would typically take several standard sessions. This format is especially helpful for processing specific traumatic events, breaking through therapeutic plateaus, or addressing complex trauma that needs more than 60 minutes to process effectively.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
While both are brain-based therapies for trauma, Brainspotting uses fixed eye positions to access deeper brain structures where trauma is stored. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation through eye movements. Many people find Brainspotting more gentle and effective, especially if EMDR didn't fully work for them.
-
No. One of the benefits of Brainspotting is that it doesn't require you to retell traumatic details. Your brain and body know what needs healing. We can work with sensations, feelings, and body awareness without verbally processing every aspect of your trauma.
-
This varies for each person. Some clients experience significant relief in 3-6 sessions, while complex trauma may benefit from longer-term work. During your consultation, we can discuss realistic timelines based on your specific situation.
-
Yes. As a neurodivergent therapist, I've found Brainspotting particularly effective for neurodivergent brains. It works with your natural processing style rather than requiring you to think or communicate in neurotypical ways. Many neurodivergent clients find it easier than traditional talk therapy.
-
Your first session focuses on building safety and understanding how Brainspotting works. We'll identify what you want to work on, find a relevant eye position, and begin gently processing. You remain in control the entire time. Many clients feel relief even from this first session.
-
Intensives work well if you have a specific traumatic event to process, feel stuck in regular therapy, have limited time for weekly sessions, or need concentrated healing work. During your consultation, I'll help you determine if this format makes sense for your situation.
-
Your nervous system's safety is my priority. We'll work at a pace that feels manageable. Brainspotting includes built-in techniques for regulating your nervous system. You can pause or stop at any time. As a trauma specialist, I'm trained to help you stay within your window of tolerance.

I currently accept Aetna insurance for standard 60-minute sessions. Intensive sessions and extended appointments typically aren't covered by insurance, as they exceed standard session times. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
